Abigail Leach is the Accounting Specialist at Athena Hospitality Group and oversees the accounts payable team.
She joined the Athena Hospitality Accounting team at the end of 2022 as the Accounts Payable Specialist but due to her experience in hospitality and eagerness to learn, she took on a variety of responsibilities and was promoted to Accounting Specialist quickly. Abigail now oversees the accounts payable team and manages a variety of projects to ensure financial accuracy while prioritizing the optimization of financial packets, taxes, and cash flow. Over the years, She has honed her experience in processing high volumes of transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance policies.
Abigail has a unique admiration for Excel spreadsheets and enjoys being able to integrate the functions into the accounting team to streamline processes that effect the whole company.
Since Abigail led her first team as the Assistant General Manager, she found her love for leadership. Abigail’s main leadership philosophy is to prepare her team with an arsenal of tools and situations and give them the autonomy to make decisions for themselves. There are no failures, only opportunities to learn for next time.
She has earned her Bachelor’s in Business with a minor in management while working in her current position. She is grateful for the opportunity to directly apply the most up to date management and business practices to her current position while earning her degree.
